A Fowl Coop

Who We Are

A Fowl Coop is the culmination of ideas between two crazy chicken ladies, cooked up in the office of Worley Logging in rural Spokane County. A Fowl Coop is located in the front half of the Final Vinyl Studio in the Worley Logging, LLC industrial building in the tiny town of Elk, Washington.  You can also find us in Treasure A to Z in Newport, WA!

Val Crismore is no stranger to poultry and has been owned by chickens since the age of seven when her family moved to 25 acres in rural Eastern Oregon in 1975.  She has taken up her hand at primitive doll artistry and enjoys hand-making heirloom quality items for your home.

Jodi Millspaugh is the consummate lover of all animals and has now donned the crazy chicken lady hat raising and hatching rare breed chickens. Jodi handles the day to day care of the flock and has personal relationships with all the breeding groups.

At A Fowl Coop, we don't just offer rare breed hatching eggs and chickens, we also have a small unique farm boutique.

One step inside gives way to the glorious smell of baked goods via hand crafted scents from Hillside Home Candle Co.. Whether it be from gallon wax tart filled jars or odor eliminating room sprays, we think you'll be as taken with these home scents as we are.

One glance to the inside wall on your left offers the dazzling array of Fluffy Layers line of elegant egg collecting aprons, bags and scarves.

A look up to your right is sure to impress with the fun chicken signs from Bainbridge Farms.  Their original art, eye catching colors, and UV protection on solid aluminum make these a great addition to your coop or your home!

After you spend some time checking out this small homey space, you'll discover prim style dolls, shelf sitters and hangers from hearts to animals, gathering baskets, tin punched wax warmers and crumbles, chicken wire kitchen decor, original art, clocks and all sorts of specialty egg items. Such as egg scales, egg stamps, blank cartons, carton labels, tag stamps, egg candlers and temperature humidity gauges and much more.

Blue Velvet chairs next to the fireplace.  They're the perfect place to sit, drink a hot beverage and peruse our chicken specific lending library.  From APA standards, egg recipes, coop layout, chicken health and gardening with chickens, we're pretty sure we'll have the information you're looking for to make the most of living with chickens.  If you'd like to read a bit more in depth check the book out and bring it back your next visit.
